Nishmah Banot Buddies

The Banot Buddies project pairs 2-5 grade girls with teenage girls for community service projects that exemplify Jewish values.
Our older girls serve as mentors and help foster leadership skills self-esteem and a life-long interest in Jewish ideals.

"...I felt the activities were extremely well organized and I have never before taken her to a program where the parents are provided a sheet that says what the kids did, so that we truly understood what activities they were involved in.  She felt comfortable, and enjoyed meeting new kids, as well as seeing familiar faces. She loves doing service projects, and especially enjoyed the Food Pantry program knowing she was doing something that would affect other people’s lives so positively. We feel privileged to be involved in
such a fabulous program!"

September 27, 2009 - Kickoff Event (St. Louis Zoo)

October 18, 2009 - Girls Got Game! Special Event (JCC-Fox)

December 6, 2009 - Project with Jewish Federation's Light Fest Community Event (Jewish Federation Kopolow Building)

January 31, 2010 - Skits and arts and crafts with senior adults (Gladys & Henry Crown Center for Senior Living)

April 18, 2010 - Feed the Pantry (The Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry at JF&CS)

May 9, 2010 - Nature Activity; Location TBD
